Quinn is tired and needs some protein. "Anybody got a slim jim? Maybe a peanut bar? I've got to rest for a minute." He lays down on George Washington's head, pulls the shield over him, and waits for Roy and JB to tell him what to do.
If they take too long, he really will grab a nap.
Chin-Su will take the opportunity to investigate the secret robotics laboratory, to see if he can find anything cool.
So, anybody around need help? Vina checks the lab. Inside and out. Bet there were guards...
Vina and JimBob are in the lab. Just wanted to make that clear ... it's okay, there aren't any other enemies! Heh.
But there are lots of different kinds of robots. There's a red android with a purple cape and blank robot eyes, a realistic woman with a green leotard and a transparent skull (although her hair can be brushed to cover it) and even a yellow sphere with a silver base labelled "COMPUTO: 30th-century supervillain. Do not activate." Beside the latter is a battery and some jumper cables.
Oh, and I should mention, there are some guards. They're groggy, as if knocked out recently.
Vina checks to make sure they aren't actually injured. Then brings out the smelling salts...
"Hey, it's okay... the superpowered robot is gone."
The guards wake, coughing.
"He did it," one gasps. He points to a lab-coated fellow lying unconscious near a workbench.
"When Sinestro came in and zapped Amazo, that guy started switching things on," the guard explains. "Amazo woke up because that guy turned him on!"
That guy's ID badge says he is Dr. Thomas O. Worrom, of STAR Labs. He's got a big red welt on his head, as though Amazo thumped him.
Chin-Su will get a closer look at the realistic lady with the see-through dome.
She's got a little black star painted next to her left eye and her hair can be combed to cover the transparent part. Inside her skull are four separate green globes, each with a small silver base, which apart from being green look a whole lot like the Computo sphere.
"Does he work with you?" Vina asks, indicating Dr. Thomas O. Worrom. Then she handcuffs him. Just in case.

Chin-Su glances at Vina. "Luthor's the one that told us about his place, inn'e?" Then he'll look about the lab itself, to see if it has a name or emblem anywhere - particularly, if it matches Worrom's STAR Labs badge.
DeleteIndeed, the National Robot Research Facility (NRRF, pronounced 'nerf') is a joint project of STAR Labs and the U.S. Department of Extranormal Operations. As President, Lex Luthor is the head of the DEO. The head of STAR Labs is Dr. William Magnus, no relation to Magneto.
ReplyDeleteThe guards reply that Luthor probably does know about NRRF, although he's never actually visited. They had a special job last year to recondition a robot with a human brain and a kryptonite heart! Weird.

JimBob assumes a Serious Face. "Don't tell Superman. He might have a.." He puts on a paur of sunglasses. "...heart attack."
