Very much like a hawk, Vina deploys her wings and falls like a thunderbolt and brains Amazo in the...brains...or what passes for them...with her Space Mace.
Amazo's red skullcap is indeed the covering for his brains, but although Vina is blessed with Superman-level strength, Amazo has that, plus the strength of Wonder Woman, and yadda yadda yadda ... so it perhaps not surprising that her strike rebounds harmlessly.
Following on Vina's attack, and assuming Amazo still has a head, JimBob will stretch both arms down to their adversary and wrap them around his face. JimBob keeps his head high above however and, hoping Amazo's sense of touch isn't particularly sensitive, he yells "I CAST MAGICAL DARKNESS UPON YOU!!"
Amazo jerks his head from side to side, trying to see. But his super-strength (as detailed above) is so substantial that he cannot even notice the slight tugging caused by his head swivels stretching JimBob's hands just a little further left and right.
"Magical darkness is a serious drawback, as I do not possess the powers of Zatanna, who is not a member of the Justice League," says Amazo out loud. He may not have absorbed the power of "internal monologue" during his travels.
"Therefore I cannot defeat the Justice League, and therefore I must abandon that mission as impossible, and revert to the next level of my priority scale, which is to rescue Professor Ivo from captivity. Fortunately, I know where the Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane is located, in the shadowed, witch-haunted byways and cobblestoned streets of Old Arkham, where the sullen Miskatonic River slumps grayly to the sea."
Amazo then gathers his fists into his waist, preparing to fly at great velocity to the East Coast. This will test JimBob's stretchiness to the ultimate limit!
"Hold him!" orders Sinestro. "Amazo has now absorbed all the super-power which Libra stole from us, and upon defeating him, and opening his power storage battery, we can reclaim our energies for our own glory!"
And he shoots forth a power-beam clamp, which fastens about Amazo's neck.
"That feels like a power-beam clamp," Amazo says. "Although enshrouded as I am in magical darkness, I cannot be sure."

JimBob looks nervously from Amazo to Sinestro, frankly shocked that his plan worked. "Please tell me that'll hold him, Sinestro" he says uncertainly. "Because if it doesn't, my 'Magical Darkness' will be RIPPED IN HALF!"
ReplyDeleteAs a precaution, he will untie his feet from their anchor below, and prepare for the flight of his life.
"Psst!" Quinn whispers to Amazo (and thus to JimBob, who I'm assuming has "ears" in every part of his body if he wants to), "let me have this shield back and maybe we can help you rescue Dr. Ivo. Because frankly I'm not in big Sinestro fan myself."
ReplyDeleteVina is looking for an access panel for the battery pack. She's also dialing up Arkham Asylum to get ready for an attack--and sends an APB over the Justice communication system--if that's a possibility.
