Kryptonite Solves Everything

Vina, from a distance, summons whatever birds she can find to smack into Amazo. Hopefully while he is trying to brush them away, she can grab Roy.

"The endurance of Superman..." JimBob looks down at the green, lifeless ring still on his finger. "All of our weaknesses..."

JimBob will, discretely as possible, stretch a hand over to Roy's, and slip his finger into Roy's power ring, attempting to recreate the "bright, searing, sizzling, acid-tinged green WRONGNESS" that Roy attempted on Zipperneck.

Birds attack Amazo from all sides!

"Birds," Amazo correctly states. "Hawkman's power of bird control is a complete solution."

He starts whistling -- wheet! wheet! -- the way Hawkman does. The birds disperse.

During this time, Vina has taken Roy's weight and is lowering him to safety on top of the Roosevelt statue, while JimBob has infiltrated Roy's ring.

And ZZZZZZZ ... the green boiling biting glowing throbbing EVIL that is Kryptonite blossoms forth from the ring!

JimBob feels his shape altering into an exact copy of Roy's. Apparently the ring doesn't want to serve anyone but Roy, so it's updating him to fit better.

When he starts to remember Roy's likes, dislikes, and childhood pets, JimBob thinks it might be going a little too far. But then, Roy would be fine with being turned into Roy, wouldn't he? So JimBob's not all that against it. Soon he'll be Roy, and then he won't mind at all.

Amazo feels faint.

"I feel faint," he says. "What new power shall I -- green Kryptonite radiation! While Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Batman, the Atom, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Zatanna, the Red Tornado, Aquaman, the Elongated Man, and even the Phantom Stranger are invulnerable to its effects, Superman is not -- and none of their powers will stop the death which Kryptonite brings! Although Hawkman does reincarnate over the ages ... a partial solution."

Amazo falls limply as his flying powers ebb. He hits the ground hard, reeling around and holding his head.

"Pain," he describes. "Weakness. Approaching death."

Vina, at the same time, feels a nausea so intense as to cause actual pain, combined with a tingling which begins on her skin and sinks in as a deeper, burning ache. Her vision blurs, and her limbs grow weak, but her Hawk wings keep her airborne, and keep Roy light enough to carry. She is able to make it to the mountaintop, but is in danger of passing out.

Sinestro says, "Now! Strike, for your power, and your glory!" and slams Amazo with a big yellow mallet.

Amazo is driven to his knees, but he's not out yet. He strains against the mallet, resisting Sinestro's power.
